MANCHESTER 2 LONDON 24

We would like to congratulate everyone who took part in the Ride UK 24 Manchester 2 London Challenge 2013. We are all thoroughly impressed with your efforts, so thank you for making it a great challenge!!

For an inaugural event, the Manchester to London Ride UK 24 Challenge proved to be a fantastic display of Ultra Cycling. 141 participants registered on Saturday morning at the Manchester Velodrome to take on the grueling 250 mile challenge, with 139 of those Participants riding over the finish line in Hackney Marshes, London roughly 24hrs later.


Ride Statistics

The cyclist to complete the challenge in the shortest amount of time did was Trevor Riley, who did so in an impressive 20 hrs 41mins – congratulations Trevor!

  • 129 out of 141 cyclists managed to complete the challenge in under 24hrs.
  • The cyclist to endure the challenge for the most amount of time, was out on the course for 26hrs 26mins.
  • Only five women took on the challenge.
  • One challenger, Idai Makaya, completed the entire course in under 24hrs on an Elliptigo bike.

Riders took on the challenge in aid of many of our great charity partners – fundraising vital sums for the charities of their choice and others took on the challenge to test their own strength and stamina.
